N.J. Internet Gambling Bill Moves On To Full Senate

The Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee in New Jersey reported favorably on S1565, sending the bill that authorizes Internet gambling at Atlantic City casinos on to consideration in the full Senate.  Of the 13 members of the committee, there were 11 votes in favor of the measure and none against.  State Senator Paul A Sarlo, whose district includes the Meadowlands Race Track, abstained from the vote.  Another member of the committee, Anthony R Bucco, was not present and did not vote.  A vote in the full Senate is expected soon.
