Hip, hip, hooray! Today marks the official launch of legal, regulated and fair online gambling in New Jersey. Read on for a complete list of the sites that are available, and be sure to read my surprising advice at the bottom…
And now, the list…
Here are the websites where you can gamble online for real money right now if you are located in New Jersey:
- Caesars has five online sites:
- Borgata Casino has three online sites:
- Trump Plaza has one online site:
- Tropicana has two online sites:
- Golden Nugget has one online site:
- Trump Taj Mahal has one online site:
Why you may want to start with only one or two…
After tempting you with a list of thirteen places you can go to play immediately, now I’m going to slow you down a bit…
If you visit these sites today, you will find offers of a free $10 or $20 for signing up. While that sounds OK, I am certain that there will be much bigger bonus options available a month or so from now. Here’s why:
Online casino bonuses have historically been based upon matching your initial deposit with a 100% bonus, or even more. The casino then requires a certain amount of wagering to be completed before you can withdraw any winnings that you made. New Jersey’s Division of Gaming Enforcement has approved those kinds of bonus offers, but they will only allow them after online gaming has been available to the public for at least 30 days.
For players, that means that the best signup bonuses won’t be available for the first 30 days.
Update: Larger bonus offers are available now. Please see the details in my post New Jersey Online Casino Bonuses.
So, what’s a player to do?
I know, I know… You can’t wait that long. Me either! I’m not a New Jersey resident but I am travelling there in early December to
gamble day and night oops, I mean, do some in-depth testing just for you faithful readers. Upon my return, I will be publishing full and unbiased reviews of everything I found.
My advice to you until then is to start slow, and sign up at one or two of the sites to try it out. But hold off on the registration for most until after the offers get really good. I think it will be worth the wait.
