The Games Offered Online Are Better. Here's Why...
The most obvious advantage offered to players by online casinos is the convenience of playing from home. But you will find that the biggest advantage is that the games themselves are better.
The online market is very competitive, so the games offered usually have a lower house edge than land-based casinos. That makes sense because the casinos have lower overhead costs than in a land-based casino.
And, to keep a happy customer base, online casinos really have to offer good value because a competing brand is only a click away.
These factors create a market that offers better odds, higher payouts, and better promotions for players. In the NJ regulated market, players are also protected by the most well-respected gaming authority in the country (the NJ DGE). All together, this creates a strong value proposition for players.

What determines the "best" online casinos in New Jersey?
As someone who keeps a close eye on the online casino industry, I am often asked which casino is the best, or which is my favorite.
As with a lot of questions, the best answer is "It depends". What is most important to you?
Tables or slots?
I have friends who are only interested in playing table games, and a huge slot inventory makes no difference at all to them. Meanwhile other players rank diverse slot choices as their #1 criteria!
Is social important?
Many players absolutely love the social aspect of gambling, and surprisingly, some of the online casinos actually offer a pretty good experience in that regard. Who would have thought?! (I'm looking at you, BetRivers!)
Everyone's favorite criteria...
Of course everyone's favorite casino tends to be the one where they win more often!
That's fine, but do be careful. While you may have a lucky session and win big at a casino that has tighter payouts, your results will be much better in the long run if you can settle in at a casino that offers higher returns across the board.
I like to take a look at the video poker paytables at a casino to see how generous their payouts tend to be. If their video poker pays well according to the paytable, you can bet the slots will be better than average too.
More really is better
But in the end, I think if you really want to know what works best for you in particular, you need to be willing to try out several sites and see what feels right.
Besides, having accounts at a lot of different casinos means that you get a lot more offers in your email inbox, and promotions can really help stretch your gambling dollars.
If that appeals to you, you may want to check out our always-up-to-date NJ online casino list, which includes every approved operator. You can also sort the list to show the newest casinos at the top.
